Improvements to the logbook and the request-function

We have recently updated Smartplan with some improvements, which should make it easier for you to use Smartplan in your daily work.

Look-ups in the logbook will be remembered

When you look-up hours in the logbook Smartplan will now remember your latest look-up. This means that you will not have to choose the samme dates each time you visit the logbook.

Before the update, the logbook always showed hours from yesterday. However, we noticed that we kept doing the same look-up over and over - namely our payroll period. You have made us aware of the same thing and this is why, we have now changed it.

When you make your next look-up it will be saved for when you return to the logbook. You will notice that you will save a lot of clicks when you need to check your employees’ prior hours.

But we are not done yet.

We have also improved the filter to the right, in which you can choose which rotas you want your look-up to contain. The date-picker will now remember which rotas you have chosen, so you will not have to think about it anymore. Choose the rotas which should be contained and Smartplan will remember it for you.

New shortcut for seeing your employees’ requests

When you open your rota up for requests, you can always see how many of your employees who have handed in their requests to the right.

If you want to see your employees requests you can choose an employee in the dropdown at the top. Then all of the shifts, which the employee does not wish to have, will be coloured red.

We have now made it even easier to get the requests highlighted. When you click on “2 of 6” to see who have handed in their requests, we have added a shortcut:

When you click on “View”, the requests will immediately be highlighted in the rota. Therefore, it is now easier to get an overview.

We have a lot of other improvements coming up. We are currently working on a huge update of our notifications-system and we also have a brand new function on the way. I can not say much more at the moment however, it has something to do with vacation.
